Commission Disclosure

This Commission Disclosure explains how Optima Vehicle Leasing may receive commission from vehicle manufacturers, finance providers, supplying brokers or other partners when arranging car and van leasing agreements across the UK.

Financial Conduct Authority Requirements

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requires credit brokers to disclose that commission may be payable by a lender, funder, or vehicle owner to the intermediary.

The FCA defines “commission” as any financial consideration.

If you request it, we will disclose the amount of commission payable in relation to your agreement before you enter into it.

How Commission Works

Optima Vehicle Leasing is a trading name of Fourteen Automotive Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

We are a credit broker and not a lender.

If you enter into a lease agreement arranged by us, we will receive commission from the lender or supplying broker once the agreement goes live.

Commission may be:

  • A fixed amount per agreement; or

  • Variable depending on the lender’s remuneration structure.

The commission structure is set by the lender or supplying broker.

The commission we receive may vary depending on the product, lender, or agreement.

Commission is typically paid only after:

  • The finance agreement has been signed; and

  • The vehicle has been delivered or the agreement has commenced.

Arrangement Fee

In addition to commission, we charge an arrangement fee of £195 including VAT.

This fee is payable at the point of order once finance has been approved.

The arrangement fee covers:

  • Deal sourcing and negotiation

  • Suitability and affordability checks

  • Administration and documentation processing

  • Liaison with lenders and suppliers

  • Ongoing customer support through to delivery

This fee is separate from any commission paid by lenders.

Impact on Customer Costs

Commission is built into the rental quoted by the lender.

The commission we receive may influence the total amount payable under the agreement, depending on the lender’s structure.

We are committed to acting in good faith and ensuring that product recommendations are based on suitability, affordability, and customer needs.

You have the right to request details of the exact commission payable in relation to your agreement at any time before entering into the contract.

Whose Products Do We Offer?

We introduce customers to a panel of selected leasing companies, UK vehicle dealerships, and finance providers with whom we have commercial agreements.

We are a commission-based organisation, meaning we receive payment for business introductions.

Remuneration may differ depending on the product type and the lender involved.

We do not lend money directly.
